Room Number One At The Bates Motel: Another Hubnugget Shenanigan

This week the categories are Personal Finance, Pets and Animals, and Holidays and Celebrations. All great categories and we found some tasty nuggets that were definitely hard to resist, so much so that it got me in trouble this week and the evil side of me made an appearance and almost sabotaged the whole contest....here is my tale.

The whole team had gathered to organize the nominees for this weeks hubnugget award when I got a gander at those small nuggets that were sitting atop my table. I looked over at Patty and she squinted her eyes at me as if she knew what I was thinking., oh what is getting into me I've never had these thoughts before? Perhaps its my evil side that is trying to come out in me.The nominees had been chosen and it was up to me to deposit them into the vault, afterall I was one of the keepers of the key to "the mint"! I gathered my wits about me and pretended that everything was going as scheduled......little did they know what was going through this blond head of mine and if they did would they ever forgive me? (organ music here)

After I said my goodbyes to the team I was left alone with my thoughts and I set my plan to motion. I was planning it all out in my head as I was doing it as I didnt have much time to incorporate my plan. The first order of business was to take a nice long shower and get some sleep. In the words of my old friend Scarlet O.Hara, I said to myself, 'Tomorrow is another day and things will definitly look better tomorrow" or something to that effect.

I woke up early in the morning and gathered up the wannabe nuggets, I left the house with them tightly tucked away under my arm and set my plan in motion. I got into my car and set out for the open road...California seemed like the perfect place to take my nuggets. These bits of gold are worth thousands maybe even millions and in California there are plenty of rich wanna be writers that will pay a pretty penny for some good writing. Part of me felt so guilty, after all the hubnugget team have been good to me but there was an evil force working within me that almost took over my own being. But for now I would take the roof off my convertible, put a scarf on my head (even though they have been out of style since the 50's) and enjoyed the wind running through my hair. Again like Scarlet I shall worry about things tomorrow!

I had been driving for quite a while and decided to stop and get some rest, the only thing was I was out in the middle of nowhere and there didn't seem to be any signs of life close by. I saw a sign that said hotel and there was an arrow pointing to this old dirt road. Against my better judgement I went ahead and took the turn down the dirt road. Little did I know that the road I was taking was taking me into what felt like a movie.

A couple miles down the road I saw a huge, creepy, old house and what looked like an old motel from another generation. It said the Bates Motel and it reminded me of an Alfred Hitchcock movie, anyway, I was so tired that anything with a bed was going to be fine for me. I went into the office and there stood a nervous little man that creeped me out a bit. He said he lived with his mother in that creepy huge house and was never married because "mother" never allowed him to marry....."OK then, whatever Mr. Bates can I just get a room please"? He gave me a key to room number one, the room closest to the office hm strange but then the whole motel and mommas boy thing was all a little strange to me anyway, so I took the key and went to my room; there was a nice warm shower with my name on it, and I wasn't waiting any longer.

As I unpacked my things and got ready for my shower I couldn't help but think that the creepy guy was holding back on something, I mean I know he was acting a little nervous and he probably was attracted to me but I couldn't help but feel that there was something that he wanted to tell me or to ask me. I tried to shake it off as I got ready for my shower. Still I couldn't shake the feeling that I was being watched. I walked over to the window and from where I was I could see the huge house where Norman lived with his mother and I could faintly see a shadow in one of the windows. Now that's odd, what do they do up there in that huge house I wondered?

All I could think about at this point was that nice warm water hitting my body, I ran the shower and slipped off my robe. I stepped into the shower and started to soap myself up when all of a sudden I see a shadow through the curtain, the curtain opens up suddenly and there is Norman Bates in all his glory dressed in a suit that shouted glitter and glamour. I screamed very loud with everything my lungs could muster and Norman kept saying be quiet be quiet but the shock put me into fight or flight mode and I fought him with all I had. He grabs me and wraps the shower curtain around me and they come off the hinges, we both fall to the bathroom floor and he puts his hand over my mouth and finally gets me to calm down. That's when he says, "Ladyjane all I wanna know is will you teach me how to dance, Im going to be dancing with Ricki Lake on Dancing With the Stars and I need your help with the tango"! I couldn't believe my ears, he scared me to death thinking that I'm about to be slashed to bits and he wants me to teach him how to dance! Well relief swept through me that I wasn't going to be worm food and judging by his moves, the man really needed my help, I mean I have been watching him and he needed direction for sure.

With my new sense of purpose I felt a new me emerging and decided that I was gonna turn my self into the hubnugget team and let them know what I had done, after all they probably knew I hadn't deposited the nuggets into the mint. The first thing I needed to do was get on the bat phone and call the team and let them know where I was and what i was up to so they wouldn't worry about them nuggets.

After talking to them all they all forgave me, what a great bunch of hubnuggeteers they are and great sports, I'm so lucky to have team mates such as them. Driving back home I began to think about those new hubs and how good it will be to get them to their rightful place so that everyone can vote and enjoy. I really do wish the wannabes luck and I thought that hopefully Norman will do well on DWTS after I showed him my best moves. Granted my moves are kinda dated but hey a tango is a tango right? A huge smile set on my lips as I thought of Norman dancing....... Good luck Master Bates Good luck!!!

After my help with the tango, Mr. Bates and his dance partner got the first 10 of the season. Way to go guys.

The rules are very simple and easy to achieve. To be nominated you need to write a well written hub with lots of info and perhaps some pictures to compliment your storyline.
